A Letter to My Love

Always a constant in my life.

No matter the changes, seasons, hobbies or passions that come my way personally; love is my anchor.

My love has a name. Theodore.

My love is patient. My love is oh, so kind.

My love is handsome.

He is who keeps me grounded while lifting me up.

He is my very best friend.

Theodore has been my best friend since 9th grade. My confidant. My person. My other half.

I feel so lucky to have a love like this.

I don’t remember life without him, nor do I ever want to be reminded.

The secret to our connection is that we care about ‘us’ above all else.

We tell each other everything. He is the person I can’t wait to tell about my most exciting and boring moments to.

My person that I would do anything for.

I feel so grateful to have a love like ours for over a decade.

Unwavering. Always strong.

It still blows my mind that we have been so deeply connected from such a young age.

If you are in love at an age that people think is too young but you just know, then trust it.

Just be.

Live in the moment.

Each phase of life brought a new season to our relationship. It brought a new layer to learn about each other.

I think through those times we were able to fall in love with each other all over again.

And sometimes those times are even harder or they bring up new challenges for us. I think the key that we have learned to navigate has been to lean into each other in hard times, instead of away from each other.

I am just in awe of what I have been given in my life. This love. This relationship is my peaceful place and I will never take that for granted.

Expressing gratitude for the feeling in my heart I have always had and will always have for this human.

Theodore, you are my most precious piece of this thing called life.
