mauve pants

Welcome to Friday my loves! I am excited to share these pants on the blog today because I literally found them at Urban Outfitters yesterday for $9.99! The girl that was checking me out at the register said, “that’s a really great price but I wonder if they are cute or weird,” and I assured her they are a perfect mixture of the two, which is exactly why I love them so. They are insanely comfortable but can pass as dressed up or down! I am pretty obsessed with them already. I will be sure to link them below and maybe you can get them at the same price or possibly stop in to your local Urban and see if they have them on markdown as well! They had a beautiful green color as well but they did not have my size. I think either of the two would be great if you look into them. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I will be busy this weekend shooting a couple outfits that I think you all with love. See you Monday! the wandering wishlist: $25 and under

Where did the week go?! I’m just sitting here drinking a latte and cannot believe it’s already time for another ‘wandering wishlist’! It seems like as Christmas inches closer and closer I am getting more questions about smaller gift ideas from family. I also realized that although we have our Christmas shopping all finished, we still need small secret-santa type of gifts. Since this has been a thing that I keep thinking about I decided to do a ‘wandering wishlist’ of items $25 and under! To recap last week’s post, I am starting this series as a way to basically scratch a shopping itch per say. Each Wednesday I am going to browse around on different brands, different price points or different niches and compile a list of anything that I thought, “that’s cute” in my head about. Similar to if I was walking around in a store with Teddy and pointed things out to him. Some of these things are items that I know I love and but most of them are just random things that caught my eye for $25 and under! I hope you have fun looking through this weeks picks and don’t forget that there are more…

blanket scarves

Happy Monday! If you live somewhere chilly then you will enjoy the post today and you NEED to get your hands on a scarf like this. Not only is it the warmest scarf i’ve ever owned but it is also easy to pair with just about any outfit. I love how huge and oversized it is because it is so easy to snuggle up while out walking the dog or on the way into work. I linked a couple of different options below for you to check out, all from Urban Outfitters. The one that I am wearing above is the red picture! My hat is also from Urban, my shirt is from a thrift store, jeans are ASOS and jacket is Nordstrom Rack. My glasses are from Eye Roc in St. Louis and they are prescription. I literally did not realize how bad I needed glasses until I got these bad boys! This week is going to bring a lot of learning/growth in my world since I am working on creating a plan for this space for 2017! I know that consistency is something that will be #1 on my list and I can’t wait for you all to see what I have in…

knit sweater weather

Well, it’s officially that time of year. You know, the time of year when you start collecting knitted sweaters and wool coats just to keep from freezing every time you step outside. As much as I am not used to the cold anymore, I am grateful to be able to layer cozy pieces together in outfits! I forgot how cold my ankles get without full length pants, though. We froze just a bit while taking some pictures but man I am loving hunting down winter styles. I am currently looking for a beautiful velvet dress, metallic looking booties and more sweaters because warmth is a obvious necessity. I had to stop over at Nordstrom Rack to find a great winter jacket since a short leather jacket just wasn’t cutting it any longer. I specifically looked for something long-lined, tan and with bold buttons. I was not able to find more of the military-styled buttons that I searched for but I sure am loving this Michael Kors jacket that I found on sale! I also found these jeans for only $20 and had to scoop them up because mom jeans for under $25 is a no-brainer. I love…

the wandering wishlist: anthropologie

Girls, please tell me I’m not the only one that loves to browse either a store in person or online for a little bit of retail therapy, even if you have no intention of buying anything?! I will often walk past a store in the mall with Teddy and say, “let’s go in, just to look” and walk aimlessly around finding beautiful pieces and excitedly sharing them with him. We love spending time just browsing things that we know are out of our budget but we act like we have really cool, expensive taste regardless. Does anyone else do that? We get so much inspiration just from those slow moments of finding things that we both love and talking about how our dream home would look or if the sky was the limit what types of things we would love to hunt for. We often will take that inspiration and head off to thrift stores and find amazingly similar pieces for cheaper but it all starts with the fun of wandering around thinking of what would be invigorating to get. Heck, I’m not even sure that if we had the budget we would spend it on this stuff but it sure…
