wedding day// part three

I thought today would be the PERFECT day to finish up this little series about our wedding. Why? Because it is Teddy and I’s TEN year anniversary of dating today! Holy smokes. This one is a milestone! I am so excited to put together a full post on this day filled with pictures of tiny Ashley and Teddy but for today I thought I would finish up recapping our most love-filled day. All of these pictures, just like with the other 2 posts, were taken by our amazing photographer Sam Hugh. He is a photographer in the Austin, TX area and I highly (HIGHLY) recommend! Our venue was Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs, TX and had the most perfect boho/rustic vibe. Especially for the reception which was filled with dancing, speeches, donuts and S’mores! A few things you’ll notice while browsing the pictures below: We had Urban Cowboy cater our food.  It was buffet style and included a Queso bar for the guests to enjoy during cocktail hour (yum). One thing that was so amazing that I would suggest to anyone would be to eat dinner away from the guests before everyone else. Our coordinator set us a whole dinner tucked away…

life

I thought today I would pop into this space not with any type of extended fashion post, wedding post or cute pictures of my handsome husband and large furry animal, but instead just a little life update! Last week was my first week of work, complete with meetings and training and it was amazing. I have done a variety of things with my life and most times it has been all-consuming and I really lost who I was in the process. I was so happy to have been sat down during training and be asked “so, who are you?”, “where do you want to be in 10 years?”, “what is your ideal perfect day?” It was tough to answer these questions since I am in such a transitional place in my life right now but there were some common themes to my answers. I want to reach more people through my blog and run it successfully. I want babies. I want to be so madly in love with my husband for the rest of my life. Teddy this, Teddy that. I realized that my husband makes up 95% of what would make my days perfect. He really completes me and I…

ditto

Hey guys! Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve been in this space and this tiny break has taught me a few things. First, I suck at functioning as a member of society while I am sick. Second, I am craving some structure to this blog. I decided that I will post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So, be expecting 3 posts a week! Now that I got that out of the way, onto this post! If you didn’t know this about me already you will now learn that I love watching Youtubers. One of my favorite people to watch is Alexandrea Garza and she talked about a sunglass subscription company a few months back. I checked it out and fell in love. If you go back to previous posts you will see the circular Ray-Bans that I was sporting for a while. Those were also from this company! How it works: you sign up for the subscription and pay a monthly fee in order to be able to swap designer sunnies whenever you would like for new ones! Basically you pay $24 a month instead of $200 a pop and can get any ones you want and swap them…

long kimono love

Hello everyone! I am still totally obsessed with kimonos, I can’t get enough of them. I got these kimonos for my bridesmaids to wear getting ready for my wedding and I got one for myself as well! I love wearing these super long kimonos on days when we are just walking around and relaxing. We literally spent Labor day walking around our favorite neighborhood again looking for places to live! We want to move into a 2 bedroom with some character and good natural light so we are going to take our time finding the perfect fit! So we walked around all day and this outfit was simple and I loved the colors together. My hair is also a shade darker because I finally fixed my color that was getting super washed out! I hope everyone’s Labor day was amazing, ours was very laid back and we really didn’t do much but hey, we were together so that’s what matters! Happy Tuesday, XOXO-ash P.S: I got the Kimono on Amazon!

striped casual dress

On Saturday we went to the farmers market and walked Elzi around the park for a while to get some energy out of her. I thought this was a great, light outfit to walk around in and started to pull in some fall colors! At night we went to get taco’s with friends from Teddy’s PhD program which was also fun! I loved that this could be a casual and yet somewhat look like you’re still trying type of outfit. I linked everything below, although the jacket and boots are old so I found some much improved swaps ;). This post is a short one but comment on my Instagram post if you want to see a blog on this braid and how to do it! It’s super easy but a few tricks can go a long way. Hope you enjoy & have a wonderful labor day! XOXO-ash
