ditto

Hey guys! Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve been in this space and this tiny break has taught me a few things. First, I suck at functioning as a member of society while I am sick. Second, I am craving some structure to this blog. I decided that I will post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So, be expecting 3 posts a week! Now that I got that out of the way, onto this post! If you didn’t know this about me already you will now learn that I love watching Youtubers. One of my favorite people to watch is Alexandrea Garza and she talked about a sunglass subscription company a few months back. I checked it out and fell in love. If you go back to previous posts you will see the circular Ray-Bans that I was sporting for a while. Those were also from this company! How it works: you sign up for the subscription and pay a monthly fee in order to be able to swap designer sunnies whenever you would like for new ones! Basically you pay $24 a month instead of $200 a pop and can get any ones you want and swap them…

long kimono love

Hello everyone! I am still totally obsessed with kimonos, I can’t get enough of them. I got these kimonos for my bridesmaids to wear getting ready for my wedding and I got one for myself as well! I love wearing these super long kimonos on days when we are just walking around and relaxing. We literally spent Labor day walking around our favorite neighborhood again looking for places to live! We want to move into a 2 bedroom with some character and good natural light so we are going to take our time finding the perfect fit! So we walked around all day and this outfit was simple and I loved the colors together. My hair is also a shade darker because I finally fixed my color that was getting super washed out! I hope everyone’s Labor day was amazing, ours was very laid back and we really didn’t do much but hey, we were together so that’s what matters! Happy Tuesday, XOXO-ash P.S: I got the Kimono on Amazon!

striped casual dress

On Saturday we went to the farmers market and walked Elzi around the park for a while to get some energy out of her. I thought this was a great, light outfit to walk around in and started to pull in some fall colors! At night we went to get taco’s with friends from Teddy’s PhD program which was also fun! I loved that this could be a casual and yet somewhat look like you’re still trying type of outfit. I linked everything below, although the jacket and boots are old so I found some much improved swaps ;). This post is a short one but comment on my Instagram post if you want to see a blog on this braid and how to do it! It’s super easy but a few tricks can go a long way. Hope you enjoy & have a wonderful labor day! XOXO-ash

black ripped jeans

If you’re following me on snapchat (ashleyrainne) then you would know that I got a few new things from Urban Outfitters in the mail yesterday! About a month ago I saw this little bandana scarf at Urban but didn’t jump on it right away. I was browsing the site a few weeks ago and just thought it was too cheap to pass up! I love the way that it compliments this simple all-black outfit so much, I am really digging it. I also decided to pick up these black slip-ons since they were on sale! I am so excited about these because they are so easy and can be a staple with any outfit. Oh, and they are comfy so win-win. Teddy and I walked around today after he got out of work and decided to go explore this amazing basilica in St. Louis, which I showed a bit of on my snapchat. Although we didn’t know that the garden was a ‘private garden’ and got told sternly that no pictures were allowed, whoops! We got a few cute shots of the outfit before that though so not all is lost ;). We have so much fun running around trying…

life update

Hey y’all, here with a little life update! On Monday I found out that I got the job at Lululemon in St. Louis and I could not be more excited to start working for such a stellar company. Everything I have heard so far has been so attractive to me and in line with things I am passionate about. This year has been the craziest journey of transitioning, struggle, happiness, love, tears and joy. My life is so dramatically different than it was last year but I am so happy with where life has taken me. Yes, I would love my friends from San Marcos to all move to St. Louis miraculously, but aside from that I am so thankful for where I am and where I am going. Just thought I would share as I am sure that working for them will shape me as a person and I want that to be in the blog! After I found out, my hubby got me a bottle of wine and a pizza so that we could stay in and watch NCIS on repeat to celebrate (I know, I know; party animals). Since I still don’t get started at the job…
