5 Latest Books I’ve Been Loving

Hello Loves! I have always been a huge book worm but lately, it has become my favorite time passer. Lately I have been on a roll with good reads that have all shifted my perspective, even the slightest bit, and have given me life! If you love good reads (mostly personal development) then keep on reading, I’ve got some suggestions for you! Real Magic by Dr. Wayne Dyer: I just finished reading this one last night and I want the whole world to read it. Dr. Wayne Dyer is someone who will continue to touch and change people’s lives long after he is gone. He has a way of connecting concepts and perceptions in such a beautiful and simple way. If you are on any type of spiritual journey then I highly suggest picking this one up. On Fire by John O’Leary: If you are looking for a motivational book that makes you realize you can do so much more in life, go to the book store ASAP and read this one. I read it in 4 hours. It was such a moving real life story that had so many life lessons to take away from it. We read this one…

Open

I sat down today with full intention to bring you a kick-ass blog post. And with that intention came, “okay, what am I going to write about today?” *Cue the overthinking process* I knew I wanted to write and that I haven’t posted in a while which I dislike doing a lot. With those thoughts brought pressure to think of a cool topic or find some great inspiration for what to put into this space. This space that I created as an outlet of my creativity and thoughts, not others creativity and thoughts. Yet, there I found myself searching on Pinterest “lifestyle blog ideas” so that I could pick one and go with it. Not a bad idea, except I sat here feeling like I was forcing something for no reason. To write about topics that were on a list that wasn’t something I could find within myself is not why I wanted to start this blog. So, I decided to talk about this. This feeling of having to be more, be better or be a picture perfect version of myself. It doesn’t do any good. It doesn’t make me feel inspired to write about things that were not from within…

goal-setting minus the pressure

This week a small group of my beautiful coworkers and I took on some vision and goals at 8am. In the past at Lululemon, vision and goals meetings felt overwhelming to me, if I am being honest. Questions like “where do you want to be in 10 years” and  “who am I” felt like huge questions that I had no idea how to answer in the two minutes we were given to think on it. This time was a bit different, and I can’t wait to share with you what I discovered and the process my amazing friend took us through to get there. The process we took to writing goals was different than usual, but created a much less overwhelming experience for all of us. I wanted to write it out here in hopes that someone may be looking for some direction in their lives and may need a bit of guidance getting there. The sequence of events went something like this: Meditation, Ask a Friend, Values, Feelings and Desires, Goals, and Action. Now I’ll explain each one! Meditation First, we started with a clearing meditation. If you are looking for a place to access guided meditations then I would…

where we are going

Where the heck have I been? Gosh, it feels like it has been way too long since my fingers have ran their way along this keyboard. Well, that is because it actually has been over a week since my last post. If you read my last post then you are aware that I have been putting more focus on being mindful. I have felt so much more connected to my truest form of myself, truest to the deepest pieces of my soul and happier than I have been in a long time. However, that does not mean that I want to lose touch with my connection to this space. I have set the intention to deepen my connection with you all at the same time that I deepen the connection with myself spiritually. I fully intend on taking you all along with me on this journey of self-discovery, authenticity and spirituality. With that being said, I’m going to be shaking things up here at ashleyrainne.com. I have a strong vision of having a space that is inspiring, real, helpful, deep, beautiful and connected. I want to express my creativity at the strongest level of authenticity that I can possibly manifest.…

on my mindfulness jam

Right here, at this very moment I feel so connected, so raw and so real. There is no better feeling than finally grasping mindfulness and how to direct your thoughts into positivity.I am sitting in a beautiful coffee shop that I have never explored yet, in the neighborhood we will be moving into next month. Everything just feels so, right. We started looking at apartments and said to each other, “If it is meant to be, then it will” and now everything seems to be guiding us in what we believe to be the truest direction to ‘us’. Some changes that I have been making that have collectively been making a large impact on my day to day life have been: yoga daily, meditation daily, recognizing my thoughts as they come and realizing what they stem from, reading and being more mindful in my conversations.  I’m not just saying these things either. I’m talking real shit, exactly what has been making an impact on my life. My anxiety has subsided, my conversations are more authentic, I am looking inward instead of outward for my creativity and I am feeling such an amazing flow of positive energy. It has made my…
